Jeep Meridian gets two new Special Editions: Details Inside

Jeep India has added two new special edition models to the Jeep Meridian lineup. The Merdian X and Meridian Upland SUVs will come with some exclusive features, new paint shades, and a few design tweaks. Prices for Meridian X and Upland start at Rs 33.41 lakh and go up to Rs 38.47 lakh. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Meridian models.

Jeep Meridian X, Upland Special Edition: What’s on offer?

The new Jeep Meridian X and Upland get some new additions and a few design tweaks along the exterior. The Jeep Meridian X gets body-coloured lowers, a grey roof, and alloy wheels with grey pockets. It also gets side moulding and new puddle lamps. Inside, the Meridian X gets ambient lighting which gives a lounge-like feel to the SUV.

Jeep Meridian Upland gets new functional equipment like a roof carrier, side steps, splash guards, boot organiser, sun shades, special cabin, cargo mats, tyre inflator, and a specially designed hood decal. The two special editions get new colour options in the form of Silvery Moon and Galaxy Blue.

Both special edition models get a rear entertainment package with a WiFi-enabled 11.6-inch screen. Passengers can use this screen to play content or browse through different apps. For Jeep Meridian X and Upland Special Editions, this entertainment pack is available at a 50% discount.

Things remain the same under the hood, as Jeep Meridian X and Upland special editions continue to be powered by the 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engine. This unit produces a maximum power output of 168hp and 350Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

The additional equipment makes these special editions unique, appealing to a wider customer base.”

Conclusion

In other news, Jeep recently slashed the prices for the entry-level variants of the Meridian and Compass by Rs 2.35 lakh and Rs 1.08 lakh respectively. The higher variants for both SUVs received a uniform Rs 35,000 hike. The Jeep Meridian range now begins at Rs 27.75 lakh. The SUV rivals the likes of Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Skoda Kodiaq.
