Hyundai Verna, Venue, and Tuscon prices hiked

Prices for Hyundai Verna, Venue, and Tuscon have been hiked by up to Rs 48,000. All three models were updated by the automaker within the last 12 months. The automaker also added Adventure Editions to the Creta and Alcazar SUVs. The Creta facelift is expected to hit the market next year.

Hyundai Verna, Venue, and Tucson: Price hike explained

Diesel variants of the Tuscon SUV receive the largest price hike of Rs 47,900. Prices for the diesel variants of the SUV have been increased by Rs 42,000. The Hyundai Tucson range now starts at Rs 29.01 lakh and goes up to Rs 35.94 lakh. The 2.0-litre petrol engine on the Tucson produces a maximum power of 154hp and 192Nm torque. This petrol engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0-litre diesel engine produces a maximum power of 184hp and 416Nm torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The entry-level EX manual variant of the Hyundai Verna gets a minor price hike of Rs 6,000. The top-spec SX (O) variant of the sedan does not receive a price hike. Hyundai Verna comes in two engine options – 1.5-litre MPi Petrol and 1.5-litre Turbo GDi Petrol. The former produces a maximum power output of 115hp and 144Nm peak torque while the latter puts out 160hp and 253Nm.

Lastly, the Venue gets a price hike of Rs 5,000 for the entry-level E variant. Prices for the compact SUV now start at Rs 7.77 lakh. The SUV is powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 118bhp and 172Nm peak torque. A new E(O) variant was also added to the Venue lineup back in June this year.

Conclusion

In other news, Hyundai announced that it has received over 50,000 bookings for its compact SUV, Exter. Launched in July at a starting price of Rs 6 lakh, the Exter amassed thousands of bookings within the first few days of its launch. It crossed the 50,000 landmark earlier this month.
