Hyundai Motor India has added a new ‘Executive’ variant to the Venue lineup. It is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh. This new variant will sit below the S(O) trim. It is also cheaper than the S(O) trim by Rs 1.75 lakh. The Executive variant is powered by the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. No other engine options are available for this variant. The automaker has also updated the S(O) trim with new convenience features. Check them out below.

Hyundai Venue Executive: What’s new?

The Executive trim of Hyundai Venue acts as an entry-level variant to the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Buyers looking to get the turbo petrol engine under Rs 10 lakh will be interested in this variant. This engine produces a maximum power output of 120hp and 172Nm of torque. It can be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Hyundai Venue Executive rests on 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The tyres offer a superior grip and road presence. The SUV also features a dark chrome front radiator grille, roof rails, shark fin antenna, and exclusive ‘Executive’ badging on the tailgate. There are no radical design changes on the new variant.

Inside, the Hyundai Venue gets a front centre armrest with storage space, 2-step reclining rear seats with a 60:40 split, and adjustable headrests for all passengers. The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system is equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The SUV also gets a digital instrument cluster with a colour TFT MID. In terms of convenience features, the Hyundai Venue Executive gets rear AC vents, rear wiper & washer, and steering-mounted controls with cruise control.

Safety features on the SUV include 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Day & Night Inside Rear View Mirror (IVRM), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), automatic headlamps, and more. Hyundai has also updated the S(O) trim with an electric sunroof and map lamps for the driver and passenger. This trim is also powered by the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and can be mated to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Conclusion

Prices for the Hyundai Venue start at Rs 7.94 lakh and go up to Rs 13.48 lakh. It is available in three engine options. The SX(O) trim also comes with an entry-level ADAS package. The SUV rivals Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser, and Mahindra XUV300.
