Urban Night Editions for Renault Kiger, Kwid, and Triber launched

Renault will produce only 300 models of the special editions for each model.

Renault India has added a new Urban Night limited edition to the Renault Kiger, Kwid, and Triber lineups. The Urban Night Edition for Renault Kiger and Triber cost Rs 15,000 more than their respective top-spec variants. Meanwhile, Kwid’s Urban Night Edition costs Rs 7,000 more than its top-spec variant. Renault has also mentioned that it will only produce 300 units of the Urban Night Edition for each model.

Renault Kiger, Kwid, and Triber: New Urban Night Edition

The new Urban Night Editions for Renault Kiger, Kwid, and Triber get an all-black (Stealth Black) paint scheme. There are silver highlights on the doors, boot lid, and the front & rear bumpers. The limited edition models also get a puddle lamp. Inside, the Urban Night Editions get features like ambient lighting, illuminated scuff plates, and a smart mirror monitor. This 9.66-inch monitor acts as a rear-view mirror and can record videos with a front and rear camera. It also offers smartphone connectivity.

Renault Kiger, Kwid, and Triber: New Urban Night Edition

Mechanically, the three limited editions remain unchanged. Renault Kiger comes in two powertrain options – a 1.0-litre petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. The former generates a maximum power output of 72hp and 96Nm of torque. It comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The turbo petrol engine puts out 100hp & 152Nm. It is paired with a CVT gearbox.

Renault Kiger, Kwid, and Triber: New Urban Night Edition

The 1.0-litre petrol engine powering the Kwid produces a maximum power output of 68hp and 91Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.0-litre petrol engine on the Triber puts out 72hp and 96Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.

Conclusion 

As mentioned earlier, Renault will produce only 300 units of the Urban Night Edition for each model. In India, Renault Kiger rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Nissan Magnite, Citroen C3, and Tata Punch. Meanwhile, the Kwid rivals the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.
