The Edge Trail Edition of Volkswagen Taigun was first showcased by the automaker back in April this year. The limited edition SUV gets a functional roof bar along with special decals for the doors, C-pillar, and rear fenders. The SUV sits on blacked-out 17-inch alloys. The brake callipers are finished in red. Since it is a special edition, the SUV also receives ‘Trail’ branding. There are 3 colour options on offer – Carbon Steel Grey, Deep Black Pearl, and Candy White.
Inside, the Volkswagen Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition gets all-black upholstery with contrasting red stitching and highlights. The instrumentation on the special edition SUV remains the same. The Taigun SUV comes with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, multi-function steering, an electric sunroof, a 6-speaker sound system, and more. The infotainment system has support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The ‘My Volkswagen Connect’ app offers features like driving behaviour, live tracking, and more.
Things remain the same under the hood as the Volkswagen Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition gets the 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine. This engine can generate a maximum power output of 150hp and 250Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The 1.0-litre TSI engine is not available for the Edge Trail Edition.
