Hyundai hikes prices for Creta, Venue, Tucson, and Alcazar

Hyundai India has bumped prices for its SUV lineup. This includes Hyundai Creta, Venue, Tucson, and Alcazar. The price hike is a result of Hyundai upgrading its engines to meet the BS6 Phase 2 emission norms. The new norms have been in effect since April 1.

Here are the new prices for Hyundai Creta, Venue, Tucson and Alcazar

Hyundai Tucson gets the highest price hike in the automaker’s SIV lineup, with an increase of Rs 13,000. Prices for Tucson now start at Rs 28.62 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 35.31 lakh. The Tuscon is available in two engine options. The 2.0-litre petrol engine produces a maximum power of 154hp and 192Nm torque. This petrol engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0-litre diesel engine produces a maximum power of 184hp and 416Nm torque. The diesel engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Up next, Hyundai Venue receives a price hike of up to Rs 7,000. The top-spec SX and SX(O) trims get the maximum price hike of Rs 7,000, while the other trims get a nominal raise of Rs 3,000. Prices for Hyundai Venue now start at Rs 7.71 lakh and go up to Rs 12.99 lakh. The three engine options on offer are 83PS 1.2-litre petrol, 100PS 1.5-litre diesel, and 120PS 1-litre turbo petrol. Hyundai Venue N Line gets a Rs 7,000 price hike too.

Hyundai Creta also gets a price hike of Rs 7,000 for top-spec variants and Rs 3,000 on other trims. The Creta lineup now starts at Rs 10.87 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.74 lakh. Hyundai Creta is offered with three engine options – a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit, a 1.5-litre diesel unit, and a 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit.

Finally, Hyundai Alcazar gets a price hike of Rs 3,000 across all variants. Prices for Alcazar begin at Rs 16.78 lakh and go up to Rs 20.88 lakh. The Alcazar is powered by a 2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 159hp and 192Nm peak torque. Hyundai recently added a new 15-litre turbo petrol engine variant which churns out 160hp and 253Nm.

Conclusion

In other news, Hyundai recently launched the new 2023 Verna at a starting price of 10.89 lakh. The sedan gets a new design which is radically different from its predecessor. It comes with two engine options – 1.5-litre MPi Petrol and 1.5-litre Turbo GDi Petrol. The former produces a maximum power output of 115hp and 144Nm peak torque. The latter puts out 160hp and 253Nm.
