Hyundai has revealed a lot of details about the Exter ahead of its launch. Earlier this month, the automaker maker revealed the front fascia of the micro SUV and started accepting bookings. Hyundai Exter has an overall boxy design and the silhouette of a proper SUV. Upfront, it gets an upright nose and split LED headlamps with H-shaped LED DRLs. The Exter also gets a wide grille and a faux skid plate.
Under the hood, the Exter gets a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine also powers other Hyundai offerings like Grand i10 Nios, Aura, i20, and Venue. It can produce a maximum power output of 83hp and 114Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
Hyundai Exter is available in five trims: EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect. The six airbags will be present on all five trims. The micro SUV also gets a dashcam along with a reverse camera. The SUV gets standard safety features like Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, and more. The top-spec trims will also get advanced features like headlamp escort, ISOFIX, auto headlamps, rear defogger, and more.
