Hyundai Exter was first spotted in South Korea back in December 2022. The SUV was seen with an electric sunroof in the spy shots. In the most recent teaser for the Exter, Hyundai has confirmed that the micro SUV will sport an electric sunroof. It will also become the first SUV in its segment to feature a dashcam. This dashcam can record videos from the front and rear cameras. Other safety features include Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, and more. The top-spec trims will also get advanced features like headlamp escort, ISOFIX, auto headlamps, rear defogger, and more.
The overall design of the Hyundai Exter is quite boxy. It has the silhouette of a proper SUV. Upfront, it gets an upright nose and split LED headlamps with H-shaped LED DRLs. The Exter also gets a wide grille and a faux skid plate. Hyundai Exter is available in five trims: EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect.
Under the hood, the Exter gets a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine also powers other Hyundai offerings like Grand i10 Nios, Aura, i20, and Venue. It can produce a maximum power output of 83hp and 114Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
