2024 Hyundai Creta spotted testing ahead of launch

Key Highlights

  • New spy shots of the Hyundai Creta facelift confirm an LED light bar at the back.
  • The SUV will also get an all-black theme for the dashboard along with dual-tone upholstery.
  • Hyundai is also expected to offer an ADAS package with the Creta.

The new Hyundai Creta facelift is set to make its debut next month. Hyundai will take the wraps off the midsize SUV’s facelifted model on January 16. The price announcement and launch will follow soon after. The SUV has been spotted testing in South Korea on multiple occasions this year. Recently, fresh spy shots of the Creta emerged from Shimla, where it appeared to be on a road test. The test unit was draped in black camouflage but its wheels and certain parts of the body were visible.

Hyundai Creta: What to expect?

Even though most of the test units of the Hyundai Creta facelift have been covered in camouflage so far, certain changes can be confirmed in the upcoming model. The most recent spy shots confirm an LED light bar connecting the two tail lamps. Overall, Creta’s design language will be in line with newer Hyundai SUVs like the Exter and Santa Fe. This means that it will get H-shaped LED DRLs and split LED headlamps up front. This design will be replicated on the tail lamps as well.

Inside, the Hyundai Creta facelift will retain the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The biggest feature upgrade on the Creta is an ADAS package along with a 360-degree camera. Certain reports suggest that the SUV will get an all-black theme for the dashboard but the upholstery will flaunt dual-tone colours. The rear seats on the facelift will also get headrests for the passengers.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Creta facelift will add the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine from the Verna to its powertrain options. This engine can produce a maximum power output of 160hp and can be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DCT. The existing 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine units put out 115hp and 116hp respectively.
