Tata Motors has added five new AMT variants to Nexon’s lineup in India. The automatic transmission option has been added to petrol and diesel engine options. The most affordable Tata Nexon with an AMT gearbox now costs Rs 10 lakh (Smart+ trim). The diesel AMT range for the Nexon starts at Rs 11.80 lakh (Pure trim).

Here is the price list for the five new AMT variants added to the Tata Nexon lineup.

Previously, the cheapest petrol AMT variant of Tata Nexon was priced at Rs 11.70, while the most affordable diesel AMT variant carried a price tag of Rs 13 lakh. Introducing the new AMT options will boost the compact SUV’s sales in India due to their affordability.
The base Smart+ trim for the Tata Nexon AMT petrol variant is equipped with features like a 7-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, electrically adjustable OVRMs, LED DRLs, and multiple drive modes. It also gets basic safety features like 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and ISOFIX mounts for child seating.
Tata Nexon’s Pure trim has added features like rear AC vents, voice command support, HVAC touch controls, and a 4-inch digital instrument cluster. It also gets roof rails, wheel covers, a knitted roof liner, and full LED headlamps and tail lamps. The Pure S trim is equipped with premium features like a sunroof, an electrochromic rearview mirror, and automatic headlamps and vipers.
Under the hood, the Tata Nexon is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former puts out 120hp and 170Nm while the latter produces 115hp and 260Nm. Both engines can be mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT gearbox. The petrol engine also gets 7-speed DCT and 5-speed manual transmission options.

Conclusion
Prices for the Tata Nexon start at Rs 8.15 lakh and go up to Rs 15.60 lakh. Meanwhile, the Nexon EV range starts at Rs 14.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.49 lakh. In India, the Tata Nexon ICE rivals Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Mahindra XUV300, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
