Hyundai Venue Knight Edition launched at a starting price of Rs 10 lakh

The Knight Edition of Hyundai Venue is not available in a diesel powertrain.

Hyundai has added a new Knight Edition to the Venue lineup. Prices for the Knight Edition of Hyundai Venue start at Rs 10 lakh for the 1.2L S(O) Knight MT variant and go up to Rs 13.48 lakh for the 1.0L SX(O) Knight DCT (dual tone) variant. The special edition gets some cosmetic updates but remains mechanically unchanged.

Hyundai Venue Knight Edition: What’s on offer?

Talking about the cosmetic changes, the Hyundai Venue Knight Edition gets a blacked-out front grille, roof rails, skid plates, alloy wheels, and wing mirrors. Brass highlights can be seen on the blacked-out roof rails, shark fin antenna, alloy wheels, and bumpers, adding a special flair to the look of the SUV. The Hyundai logo gets a dark chrome theme while the brake callipers receive a red paint job. Since it is a special edition, the SUV also gets the ‘Knight’ badging. Hyundai Venue Knight Edition is available in four monotone and one dual-tone colour options – Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Gray, Fiery Red, and Fiery Red with Abyss Black

The all-black theme has been extended to the interior of the Hyundai Venue Knight Edition as well. Brass highlights can be seen on the upholstery as well. Feature updates on the Knight Edition include a dashcam and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. This is the same dual-camera dashcam that is also found on the Venue N Line. Other features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, home-to-car connectivity, ambient lighting, a powered driver’s seat, and more.

Hyundai Venue Knight Edition: What’s on offer?

Hyundai Venue Knight Edition is only available with the two petrol powertrain options. The diesel variants of the Venue do not get the Knight Edition. The 1.2-litre petrol engine churns out a maximum power output of 83hp and 114Nm of torque and is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 120hp and 172Nm of torque. Transmission options for this engine include a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Conclusion

A second-generation version of the Venue is reportedly in the works as well. The automaker is expected to launch it in 2025. Recently, Hyundai hiked the prices for Verna, Venue, and Tucson. In India, Hyundai Venue rivals Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV300.
