Skoda Kushaq and Slavia: What’s new on the special editions?

The new Elegance Editions for Skoda Kushaq and Slavia get an all-black exterior paint shade which the automaker calls ‘Deep Black’. Despite an all-black finish, the two cars retain the chrome elements throughout the exterior. These elements can be found on the grille, tailgate, and lower door garnish. The B-pillars on the two cars are marked with special ‘Elegance’ branding. The Slavia sedan gets chrome trunk garnish and a Scuff plate with ‘Slavia’ inscribed in it. Skoda Kushaq gets 17-inch alloy wheels while the Slavia rests on 16-inch alloys.

Inside, the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia Elegance Editions get new puddle lamps that project the automaker’s logo on the floor. The steering wheel receives the ‘Elegance’ badging. This branding can also be found on the cushions, seat belt cushions, and neck rests. The footwell area of the two cars gets sporty aluminium pedals and new mats. There are no additions to the features and instrumentation on the two cars. Buyers get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system inside.

Powering the two Elegance Editions is the 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol engine. This engine generates a maximum power output of 150hp and 250Nm of torque. It can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

Speaking on the launch of the Elegance Editions, Petr Šolc, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said, “The Elegance Edition of the Kushaq and Slavia will be launched as a limited offering. There has been a strong demand for a classic black colour on the Kushaq and Slavia. All our product actions are based on evolving customer trends, in line with our customer-centric approach. The aesthetics, body colour and cosmetic aspects of the new, Elegance editions will appeal to customers with a keen design sense while continuing to offer immense value and pride of ownership.”
