2024 Renault Duster: Everything you need to know

The new Renault Duster is underpinned by the new CMF-B modular platform. This platform has been co-produced by Renault and Nissan. The 2024 Duster has a wheelbase of 2,657mm, which is a smidge shorter than the outgoing model. The facelifted model features Y-shaped DRLs complementing the sleek grille up front. The front bumper has been redesigned to look more aggressive. The SUV also gets a new set of air intakes.

Along the sides, the 2024 Renault Duster gets blacked-out alloy wheels. The squared-off wheel arches add a lot of character to the profile of the SUV. There is also a black ‘shadow line’ that runs below the OVRMs. At the back, the Y-shaped wraparound tail lamps mimic the design of the DRLs up front.

David Durand, Dacia Design Director, said “Before even starting work on All-New Duster’s style, we honed its proportions, to find a strong, balanced posture. When you get the proportions right early on, you don’t need artifices to tweak style later.”

Inside, the 2024 Renault Duster gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch driver’s display. The dashboard gets a dual-tone colour theme. The AC vents get bronze highlights and the steering is integrated with control buttons. There are physical buttons for the HVAC controls as well. Other features include automatic climate control, wireless charging, an Arkamys 3D sound system, and an ADAS package.

Under the hood, the Renault Duster facelift gets three powertrain options – 1.0L petrol, 1.2L petrol hybrid, and 1.3L turbo petrol. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine will be offered with the entry-level variants of the SUV. It can produce a maximum power output of 120hp. Meanwhile, the other two engines can produce 140hp and 170hp respectively. The hybrid powertrain gets regenerative braking and a 1.2kWh battery pack.
