Ferrari Purosangue: What’s on offer?

Even though the Purosangue is Ferrari’s biggest and highest car yet, the automaker refrains it from calling a SUV or crossover. Instead, it has been termed ‘thoroughbred’. Even though Ferrari may not be keen on adopting the ‘SUV’ monicker, the Purosangue has an SUV-crossover silhouette. The front fascia of the Ferrari Purosangue is marked by a clean, streamlined, and flowy design. Despite that, the SUV packs some muscle. The LED headlamps sit below the DRLs. There are air vents on both sides.

Inside, Ferrari Purosagne has two bucket seats at the back and the rear doors can open at a 73-degree angle.  The back doors are rear-hinged. A wheelbase of 3,000mm allows for optimum cabin space. The boot space capacity is 373 litres. The front and rear seats get their own automatic climate control. The driver’s cockpit gets its own 10.2-inch touchscreen, and for the first time ever, Ferrari will offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Powering the Ferrari Purosangue is a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 petrol engine. This engine can produce a maximum power of 725hp and 716Nm peak torque. An 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox channels this power to all four wheels. The Purosangue can go from 0-100kmph in 3.3 seconds and 0-200kmph in 10.6 seconds, as claimed by Ferrari. The top speed of the Purosangue is 310 kmph, according to Ferrari.

Conclusion

Ferrari Purosangue is available in 8 colour options – black, blue, yellow, white, grey, and three reds. The automaker offers a range of personalisation options for the SUV at additional costs. While the Purosangue is sold out till 2026, it is still in very high demand. Ferrari will likely increase the prices for the SUV once the booking window reopens. The Purosangue rivals the likes of the Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, Maserati Levante, Porsche Cayenne, and Aston Martin DBX.
