2025 Defender Octa: What to expect?
The Defender Octa is available in the 110 body style. It carries forward the signature look of the SUV but gets a new design for the grille along with a widened stance. The bumpers have also been redesigned to give improved approach and departure angles. The tough underbody protection ensures that the Octa can wade through one metre of water comfortably. Along the sides, the SUV gets flared wheel arches and exclusive diamond-shaped badging on the C-pillar.
Inside, the 2025 Defender Octa rocks an 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Performance seats for the driver and passenger have a 3D knit texture, supportive bolsters, and integrated headrests. Land Rover has developed an immersive ‘Body and Soul’ technology in collaboration with SUBPAC and Coventry University. This new tech is used in the two front seats and allows the driver and passenger to hear as well as feel the music. It also packs six wellness programmes.
The 2025 Defender Octa is powered by the same engine as the rest of the lineup – the BMW-sourced 4.4-litre V8 engine. However, on the Octa, this engine produces an improved output of 635hp and 750Nm. The SUV can go from 0-96 kmph in just 3.6 seconds. Its top speed has been capped at 250 kmph. The chassis of the SUV has been reworked and it comes with a 6D Dynamic suspension system with pitch and roll control. The new ‘Octa’ drive mode on the SUV focuses on its off-road performance and has dedicated anti-lock braking and launch control.
