Deliveries for the BYD Atto 3 have not commenced across India. The all-electric SUV was launched in India in November 2022 and has since then amassed over 2,000 bookings since. The deliveries for the EV are being rolled out in a phased manner. BYD said that it delivered 340 units of the Atto 3 in January 2023. The electric SUV was recently showcased at Auto Expo last month alongside the Seal EV and e6 MPV. The Seal EV is set to launch in India later this year.

BYD Atto 3: Everything you need to know
Up front, the BYD Atto 3 features a closed-off grille with the automaker’s logo studded at the centre of the silver strip. The grille is flanked by sleek LED headlights along with LED DRLs. The wheel arches have been blacked out and the EV features an SUV-like shoulder line. On top of that, the Atto 3 also gets a dual-tone bumper and a faux silver skid plate.Â
Along the sides, the Atto 3 gets 18-inch five-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear end sports full-length LED tail lamps, a roof-mounted spoiler, and bold ‘Build Your Dreams’ branding. The SUV stands at dimensions of 4,445 x 1,875 x 1,615 mm and has a wheelbase of 2,720 mm. The boot space has been capped at 440 litres.Â
Inside, the BYD Atto 3 EV SUV features a 12.8-inch rotating central screen, LED lighting, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, digital instrument cluster, and smartphone connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety features include 7 airbags, ABS, hill descent control, ESC, traction control, and a 360-degree camera. The SUV will also get an ADAS package comprising blindspot monitoring, emergency braking, lane assist, and more.
The BYD Atto 3 is powered by a 60.48 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 521 km. The electric motor on the EV can generate a peak power output of 200hp and 310Nm peak torque. The Atto 3 can go from 0-100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds. The battery pack can be charged from 0-80% in just 50 minutes using an 80 kW DC fast charger. A Type 2 AC charger takes up to 10 hours to fully charge the car.Â

BYD initially made the Atto 3 available in four colours – Boulder Grey, Parkour Red, Ski White, and Surf Blue. The automaker then added a limited edition Forest Green colour at an additional price of Rs 50,000. In India, BYD Atto 3 rivals MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona EV, and Tata Nexon EV Max.
