Bookings reopened for Toyota Innova HyCross ZX and ZX(O), prices hiked

Toyota Bharat has reopened bookings for the top-spec ZX and ZX(O) of the Innova HyCross MPV. The automaker had paused bookings for the two variants back in April 2023 due to supply issues. The two variants have been in high demand ever since the MPV’s launch in December 2022. In line with its latest announcement, Toyota has also hiked the prices for the Innova HyCross.

Toyota Innova HyCross: New prices explained

In line with Toyota’s 1% hike across its product catalogue, prices for the hybrid variants of the Innova HyCross now start at Rs 25.97 lakh and go up to Rs 30.98 lakh. Depending on the variant, Toyota Innova HyCross gets a price hike between Rs 15,000 – Rs 30,000. Prices for the non-hybrid variants remain unchanged. The pure ICE variants are priced between Rs 19.77 lakh and Rs 19.82 lakh.

Toyota Innova HyCross debuts in India, bookings open

Toyota Innova HyCross is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 152hp and 187Nm torque. This engine is paired with fifth-gen strong hybrid tech (M20A FXS) and can produce a combined power of 186hp. The non-hybrid variant of the HyCross produces 174hp and 197Nm. Both engine variants can be paired to an automatic gearbox. There is no option for a manual transmission. The HyCross offers a mileage of 21.2 kmpl, as claimed by Toyota.

Talking about the features, Toyota Innova HyCross rocks a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system which supports screen mirroring, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and connected car tech. The ADAS package on the MPV consists of features like Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Automatic High Beam (AHB), and Road Sign Assist (RSB). Other features include a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, climate control, cruise control, individual digital screens for rear passengers, and more.

Conclusion

This is the second time this year that prices for Toyota Innova HyCross have been hiked. The MPV got a price bump of Rs 42,000 back in January. Toyota is also planning to launch a new GX(O) non-hybrid variant for the Innova HyCross. This variant will be available in seven and eight-seat configurations. The HyCross rivals the likes of Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and Kia Carnival.
