2025 Hyundai Tucson: What’s on offer?
The front fascia of the new Hyundai Tucson is highlighted by a new grille and updated LED DLRs. It follows the ‘parametric jewel’ design language. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned as well. Among other cosmetic updates, the SUV gets new alloy wheels, anodised aluminium badging, and a 75-mm longer rear wiper blade.
Inside, the new Hyundai Tucson gets a panoramic curved display featuring twin 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system receives a key update to its interface as well. The Hyundai logo on the steering wheel makes way for the minimal four-dot design – the Morse code for the letter ‘H’. The centre console, steering wheel and door panel accents have also been redesigned. A dashboard tray has been added above the glovebox to increase the storage space.
One of the more important upgrades on the new Hyundai Tucson is the addition of a new ADAS package. This package contains features like Forward Attention Warning and Crosswind Stability Control. Other features on the SUV include heated steering, USB Type-C ports, ventilated front and rear seating, automatic headlamps, and more.
Powering the Hyundai Tucson is a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that can produce a maximum power output of 185hp and 240Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. A 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a hybrid configuration is also on the list of powertrain options.
Conclusion
Hyundai has not revealed its plans to introduce the new Tucson in India yet. We expect the SUV to be brought to India as a CKD import in early 2025. Currently, the SUV is priced between Rs 29.02 lakh and Rs 35.94 lakh. It rivals the likes of the Citroen C5 Aircross, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Jeep Compass.
