Bookings opened for Audi RS Q8 facelift in India

Audi India has opened bookings for the upcoming RS Q8 SUV. The facelifted version of the Audi RS Q8 will be launched in India on February 17. Audi has set the token amount for the SUV at Rs 5 lakh. It can be booked through Audi’s website and app. The SUV was launched globally last year. In overseas markets, it is available in 2 variants. Out of the 2 variants, the top-spec ‘Performance’ model is being launched in India. This variant is the most powerful ICE offering from Audi yet.

Audi RS Q8 Performance facelift: Everything you need to know

The Audi RS Q8 facelift retains the iconic design of the outgoing model but makes a few cosmetic tweaks. The facelifted model gets new front aprons with striking air intakes, a unique honeycomb grille, and a blade in high-gloss black. The LED Matrix headlights are integrated with LED DRLs. At the back, the luxury SUV features OLED tail lamps. Buyers can opt for 23-inch alloys at an additional price. The Performance variant sets itself apart with two oval tailpipes. Both variants get RS badging.

Talking about the instrumentation, the Audi RS Q8 facelift features a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8.6-inch climate control screen. The Performance variant has a 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit with a shift light indicator. Buyers can opt for Red, Grey, and Blue design packages for the interior. The Blue package is exclusive to the Performance variant. This variant also gets Sports Seats Plus with Race-Tex upholstery for greater comfort.

Under the hood, the Audi RS Q8 facelift is powered by the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 600hp and 800Nm of torque on the standard variant. The Performance variant puts out 640hp and 850Nm. It can go from 0-100kmph in just 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of over 305kmph. Meanwhile, the standard variant can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 3.8 seconds and its top speed is capped at 250kmph.

Conclusion

Audi will reveal the prices for the luxury SUV on February 17. In Europe, the standard variant of the Audi RS Q8 is priced at EUR 141,900 (~ Rs 1.26 crore) while the Performance variant fetches EUR 155,700 (~ Rs 1.39 crore). In India, the RS Q8 Peformance will rival the Lexus RX, Porsche Cayenne GTS, and Lamborghini Urus SE.
