2024 Force Gurkha: What to expect?

The new 3-door and 5-door Force Gurkha retain the signature boxy design of the lifestyle SUV. It gets circular LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and a two-slat grille. The 5-door Gurkha has a wheelbase of 2,825mm, making it 425mm longer than its 3-door counterpart. The SUV now rests on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the back, the Gurkha gets vertical LED tail lamps.

Inside, the Force Gurkha gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The SUV also gets a digital instrument cluster. Other features include a rear camera, tilt and telescopic steering adjust, traction control, and hill hold assist. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System shows the pressure of the spare tyre mounted on the tailgate as well.

The 5-door Force Gurkha gets a three-row seating layout. It can accommodate 7 passengers, with a bench seat in the second row and two captain seats in the third row. The 3-door Gurkha has a seating capacity of 5 people. Both versions of the SUV offer 4WD as standard.

Powering the new Force Gurkha is the 2.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which is sourced from Mercedes. Even though this is the same engine as the one on the outgoing variant, it produces better numbers. While the outgoing model produced a maximum power output of 91hp, the new Force Gurkha can put out 140hp and 320Nm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox with no option of an automatic transmission.
