Skoda Kushaq and Slavia offered with six airbags as standard

Skoda Kushaq and Slavia will now come with six airbags as a standard feature. As a result, the prices for the two cars have increased as well. Prices for the Kushaq SUV now start at Rs 11.99 lakh, with the top-spec variant fetching Rs 19.79 lakh. Meanwhile, the Slavia range starts at Rs 11.63 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.83 lakh for the top-spec variant.

Prices for the Style trim remain unchanged as it already came with six airbags. The Active and Onyx trims are now dearer by Rs 10,000 while prices for the mid-spec Ambition trim have been hiked by Rs 35,000. The Slavia sedan gets a similar hike for the Active and Ambition trims.

Skoda Kushaq and Slavia were awarded a 5-star safety rating by the Global NCAP back in October 2022. The models that underwent the crash tests conducted by GNCAP were fitted with dual airbags. The two Skoda offerings are also equipped with safety features like TPMS, multi-collision braking system, TPMS, brake assist, traction control, and more. The facelifted versions of Skoda Kushaq and Slavia are expected to be launched later this year with Level 2 ADAS.

Skoda Kushaq and Slavia are available in 2 powertrain options. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power of 115hp and 175Nm peak torque. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 150hp and 250Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.

Earlier this month, Skoda reintroduced the Superb sedan in India. Priced at Rs 54 lakh, the Superb is imported via the CBU route and is available in limited numbers. The affordable Slavia sedan rivals the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and Honda City. Meanwhile, Skoda Kushaq goes up against other midsize SUVs like the Grand Vitara, Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, and Volkswagen Taigun.
