BMW iX1: What’s on offer?

As the name suggests, BMW iX1 is the electric sibling of the X1 SUV. The X1 was launched in India back in January at a starting price of Rs 45.90 lakh. The iX1 will retain the look of its ICE sibling. The electric SUV will get a wide grille up front along with LED headlamps and L-shaped LED DRLs. At the back, the SUV will get wraparound LED tail lamps. The only cosmetic differences on the iX1 come in the form of EV-exclusive blue highlights on the grille, bumpers, and side steps.

Inside, the BMW iX1 will retain the layout and instrumentation of the X1. It will get a 10.7-inch curved display for the infotainment system. This unit is also found on the BMW X7 and 7 Series. There is also a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster on board. The electric SUV may also get a panoramic sunroof and massage function for the front seats.

Talking about the powertrain, the dual electric motors on the BMW iX1 produce a maximum power output of 313hp and 494Nm of torque. The SUV can go from 0-100kmph in 5.6 seconds, with the top speed capped at 180kmph. The 66.5kWh battery pack on the iX1 offers a driving range of 440km. It can be charged using a 130kW DC fast charger.
