Buyers face a waiting period of 10 weeks for the new Tata Nexon.ev

Tata Motors has announced the waiting period for the new Tata Nexon.ev facelift. The automaker launched the facelifted versions of the ICE and electric Nexon SUV in India last week. The automaker has placed a waiting period of 10 weeks for the Nexon.ev. Prices for the electric SUV start at Rs 14.74 lakh.

Tata Nexon.ev: Waiting period of up to 10 weeks

Launched last week, the Tata Nexon.ev facelift has generated a lot of interest in the Indian market. Initially, the automaker had planned a waiting period of 3-4 weeks which was then doubled after the SUV’s launch. The Nexon.ev is available in three trims – Creative, Fearless, and Empowered. The entry-level Creative trim has the highest waiting period of 10-12 weeks. Apart from the Creative trim, the Fearless+ and Empowered trims get a similar waiting period of 6-8 weeks. However, mid-spec Fearless trim faces a waiting period of 8-10 weeks.

Tata has also renamed the two variants of the Nexon EV. The Prime and Max variants are now called MR and LR. The former gets a 30kWh battery pack that offers a driving range of 325km. Meanwhile, the 40.5kWh battery pack on the LR variant can go up to 465km on a full charge. This is an improvement of 12km for both variants. Talking about the power specs, Tata Nexon.ev MR puts out 129hp and 215Nm, while the LR variants produces 145hp and 215Nm.

Talking about the features, the Tata Nexon.ev facelift gets a new 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, voice-assisted sunroof, touch controls for the HVAC, and more.

Pristine While and Empowered Oxide are two of the most popular colours in the Tata Nexon.ev lineup. It remains one of the most affordable electric SUVs in the country. The Nexon.ev rivals the Mahindra XUV400 EV in India.
