The Audi Q6 e-tron was revealed globally in March. Last month, the automaker added a new ‘Performance’ variant to the EV’s lineup. The Q6 e-tron has now been spotted testing in Mumbai, sparking rumours of an imminent launch in India. The global lineup of Audi Q6 e-tron consists of three variants – Quattro, SQ6, and Performance. It remains to be seen which variants make it to India.

Audi Q6 e-tron: What’s on offer?

The Audi Q6 e-tron spotted testing in Mumbai looked similar to the ‘Quattro’ variant revealed earlier this year. The test module had some design tweaks separating it from the overseas model. This included a silver finish bordering the fog lamps and the rear bumper along with a new design for the alloy wheels.

Audi Q6 e-tron: What’s on offer?

Powering the Audi Q6 e-tron is a dual electric motor that produces a maximum power output of 388hp on the Quattro variant. The SQ6 variant puts out a staggering 517hp. The entry-level Performance variant produces a combined output of 329hp and can go from 0-100kmph in 6.6 seconds. The Indian variant will likely be powered by a single, rear-mounted motor. Its performance specifications will be revealed upon launch.

Audi Q6 e-tron Performance: What’s on offer?

All three variants of the Audi Q6 e-tron are equipped with a 100kWh battery pack. The entry-level Performance variant offers the highest driving range, going up to 641km on a full charge. This driving range drops down to 625km and 598km on the Quattro and SQ6 variants respectively. The 100kWh battery pack can be powered from 10% -80% in 21 minutes using a 270kW charger. A 10-minute charge can power the EV for 260km. The India-spec Q6 e-tron is expected to carry a smaller 83kWh battery pack. While its driving range will be lower than its overseas counterpart, its charging speed will remain the same.

Audi Q6 e-tron Performance: What’s on offer?

Inside, the Audi Q6 e-tron gets a twin-screen setup comprising a 14.5-inch central touchscreen and another 11.9-inch screen. There’s also a 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen for playing media and other entertainment needs. This screen is out of the driver’s range of sight. The infotainment system on the electric SUV supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Q6 e-tron has 526 litres of boot space along with a 64-litre frunk.

Conclusion

The entry-level variant of the Audi Q6 e-tron is priced at EUR 68,800 (~ Rs 61.47 lakh) in Europe. The electric SUV is expected to launch at the end of the year or in early 2025 in India. Expect it to be priced around Rs 70 lakh. While it does not have any direct rivals it will compete with the BMW iX3, Volvo XC40 Recharge, Mercedes EQE SUV, and others.
