BYD India is celebrating the one-year anniversary of the BYD Seal EV in India by updating the sedan with new features. The BYD Atto 3 SUV also gets some crucial upgrades. The automaker has hiked the prices for the 2025 models. However, the first 3,000 customers can book the Atto 3 at 2024 prices. The token amount has been set at Rs 30,000. Meanwhile, the BYD Seal EV can be booked for a token amount of Rs 1.25 lakh. Its updated prices will be announced in April.

2025 BYD Seal and Atto 3: What’s new?
The 2025 BYD Seal comes with a power sunshade as a standard feature. The automaker has added a silver-plated dimming canopy to enhance the cabin’s ambience. The AC unit has a larger compressor capacity and a new module for air purification. The Premium variant of the electric sedan now comes equipped with Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD) for a more refined drive. One of the bigger upgrades on the MY2025 BYD Seal is wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for the touchscreen infotainment system.
BYD Seal is available in three variants and two battery sizes – Dynamic (61.44 kWh), Premium (82.56 kWh), and Performance (82.56 kWh). The 61.44kWh battery pack offers a driving range of 510km (NEDC cycle). Meanwhile, the 82.56kWh battery pack can power the electric sedan up to 650km (NEDC cycle).
The MY2025 BYD Atto 3’s interior flaunts an all-black look. The driver and passenger’s seats are now ventilated. The electric SUV’s low-voltage battery has been upgraded to a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) unit. This battery pack is six times lighter than conventional low-voltage batteries. Since its launch, BYD Seal has garnered 1,300 sales in India. Meanwhile, the automaker has sold 3,100 units of the Atto 3 since its launch. The Seal rivals the likes of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and Kia EV6. The Atto 3 rivals MG ZS EV and Tata Nexon EV in India.
