After launching the next-gen Swift in May, Maruti Suzuki will be unveiling the Dzire sedan in the coming weeks. The automaker is planning a November launch for the sedan. Interestingly, the design of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be considerably different from its Swift counterpart. The sedan has been spotted testing in India on multiple occasions. It will share its interior layout and powertrain with the 4th-gen Swift hatchback.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Everything we know so far
Maruti Suzuki Dzire’s spy shots reveal a change in design from the new Swift. Up front, the sedan will get a wider grille consisting of horizontal slats with a chrome finish. The design of the LED headlamps will be tweaked as well. The front bumper may be changed as well. Along the sides, the Dzire will stand on new alloy wheels. The tail lamps at the back will be larger compared to the units on the Swift hatchback. They will rock a boxy, rectangular shape.

Inside, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire will share its dashboard layout, instrumentation, and cabin details with the newly launched Swift. This means it will get the new 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, 4.2-inch instrument cluster, Head-Up Display, automatic climate control, wireless charging, push start/stop, and more. The wild card feature will be the electric sunroof, as confirmed by test modules.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire will also share its powertrain with the Swift hatchback. It will be powered by the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E engine which produces a maximum power output of 80hp and 112Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. It offers a mileage of 25.75kmpl on the Swift.

As mentioned earlier, Maruti is targeting a November launch for the Dzire. It will unveil the sedan during the festive period. The CNG version of the Dzire will be launched alongside the petrol model. Prices for the current-gen Dzire start at Rs 6.57 lakh and go up to Rs 9.39 lakh. Expect the next-gen version to cost a small premium. Upon launch, it will rival the likes of Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze.
