Bookings for MG Comet EV are now open

MG has opened bookings for its new compact EV. The new MG Comet can be booked for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The EV made its debut in India last month. Prices for the Comet EV start at Rs 7.98 lakh and go up to Rs 9.98 lakh. The EV is available in three variants: Pace, Play, and Push.

MG Comet EV: All features explained

MG Comet EV comes decked with state-of-the-art features, which explains the high price of the vehicle. The interior layout of the Comet features a clean design with dual 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment system and the instrument cluster. The two-spoke steering comes with integrated controls. The centre console, with is detached from the dashboard, houses the gear selector, power window switches, and an electronic parking brake. Comet’s seating capacity is limited to 4 people, but there is ample legroom for the passengers. The EV also gets a supported app which gives users access to 55 connectivity features.

Powering MG Comet EV is a 17.3kWh battery pack that offers a driving range of 230km. This battery pack has been sourced from Tata AutoComp and is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance. This battery pack can be fully charged in seven hours using the 3.3kW charger. The electric motor on MG Comet can produce a maximum power output of 42hp and 110Nm of torque.

Here is what the price list for MG Comet EV looks like. These are introductory prices that are only available for the first 5,000 bookings.
