BMW X4 M40i: What’s on offer?

The new BMW X4 M40i gets the signature design found on other coupe-SUVs from the automaker. Its profile is marked by a sloping roofline. The Dark BMW M Kidney grille gets a chrome frame along with a glossy black finish. This finish can also be found on the exhaust pipe, roof rails, and window graphics. The LED headlamps up front are sleeker and give a more focused look to the SUV’s front fascia. Along the sides, the X4 M40i rests on 20-inch alloys. It gets 245/45 R20 tyres at the front and 275/40 R20 tyres at the rear.

Inside, the BMW X4 M40i gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an electric panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a Harmon Kardon sound system, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, and more. As the SUV’s name suggests, it gets the exclusive ‘M’ interior package. This package includes features like M seat belts, leather steering, and an M-styled digital instrument cluster.

Under the hood, the BMW X4 M40i gets a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 350hp and 500Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV-coupe can reach from 0-100kmph in just 4.9 seconds. Its top speed has been capped at 250kmph.

Mr. Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said, “The BMW X4 popularized the distinctive Sports Activity Coupe concept in India. It instantly became the vehicle of choice for customers who have a unique style that stands out from rest of the crowd. Now, we are really excited to announce the first-ever BMW X4 M40i and its introduction is a testimony to the enormous success of M powered vehicles and the growing popularity of exclusive M Editions in India. Engineered to outperform and designed to outlast, the BMW X4 M40i is a daring disruptor. With its performance-oriented style, distinctive aesthetics and heightened power, you will be sure to set yourself apart from the pack.”
