Pune-based tech startup, Tork Motors, is offering discounts of up to Rs 32,500 on its electric motorbike, Kratos R. These discounts come in the form of a cash offer and a service bundle. The automaker has mentioned that buyers who book the motorbike before December 31 can avail of these discounts. The Ubran trim of Tork Kratos R costs Rs 1.67 lakh while the top-spec trim retails at Rs 1.87 lakh.

Tork Kratos R: Discounts explained

The Tork Kratos R electric motorbike gets a cash offer of Rs 22,000 and a complimentary service bundle worth Rs 10,500. The service bundle unlocks an extended warranty on the motorbike, data charges, regular services, and ChargePack. The Urban trim of the motorbike gets a cash offer of Rs 20,000.

Tork Kratos R: Discounts explained

Powering the Tork Kratos R is an axial flux PMS motor that can produce a maximum power output of 12hp and 38Nm of torque. The motorbike can deliver a continuous power output of 6hp. The 4kWh battery pack on the Kratos R offers a maximum driving range of 180km (IDC). In Eco Mode, the driving range drops down to 120km. In City Mode and Sports Mode, the motorbike can go up to 100km and 70km on a full charge. This battery pack is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance. Using a fast charger, the battery pack can replenished from 20-80% in one hour. The home charger provided with the motorbike can fully charge it within 7 hours.

Tork Kratos R: Discounts explained

Tork Kratos R can go from 0-40kmph in 3.5 seconds. Its top speed has been capped at 105kmph. Braking duties on the motorbike are handled by a 267mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. Talking about suspension, the motorbike gets a hydraulic telescopic unit for the front and a mono-shock hydraulic for the rear.

The electric motorbike gets a digital instrument cluster and app support. Its features include a vehicle locator, USB charging, anti-theft system, geofencing, crash alert, charging point locator, safe home feature, motor walk assist, side stand indication, remote charge status, and more. There are three ride modes on the Kratos R – Eco, City, and Sports. The Urban trim gets the City mode only. The feature list for the Urban mode is also very limited.

Conclusion

Tork Kratos R is available in five colour options – Oceanic Blue, Streaky Red, Midnight Black, Jet Black, and Innocent White. The Urban trim of the motorbike is only available in the first three colours. The electric motorbike rivals the likes of Revolt RV400, Oben Rorr, and Matter Aera. The Revolt RV400 is the cheapest electric motorbike in India, with prices starting at Rs 1.34 lakh.
