Joy e-bike to commence bookings for Mihos e-scooter from January 22

Deliveries will start rolling out from March.

After launching the scooter at AutoExpo 2023, Joy e-bike will be commencing bookings for the Mihos e-scooter from January 22. Interested customers can book the e-scooter for free from the company’s website (www.joyebike.com/mihos/) or from one of 600+ authorised showrooms across the country. The e-scooter is priced at Rs 1,49,000 for the first 5,000 customers. Deliveries will start rolling out from March.

Joy e-bike Mihos: Everything you need to know

The Joy e-bike Mihos is designed using Poly DiCycloPentadiene (PDCP) to give it added durability and a layer of protection due to its flexibility in absorbing impact on the road. The scooter stands at dimensions of 1,864 mm x 700 mm x 1,178 mm and has a wheelbase of 1,360mm. Designed for bumpy Indian roads, the Mihos clears the ground at 175mm.

The Mihos is powered by a 1.5kW BLDC motor that produces a peak torque of 95Nm. The top speed has been capped at 70kmph and the scooter can go from 0-40kmph in under 7 seconds. The electric motor derives its power from a 2.5kWh battery pack that offers a driving range of 100km on a full charge. This battery pack can be fully charged in under 4 hours. The battery pack has a range of safety sensors including over-current protection and thermal cut-off for enhanced protection in Indian weather conditions.

In terms of features, the Joy e-bike Mihos gets Bluetooth connectivity via Joy E – connect app, battery status tracking, reverse mode, GPS sensing, geo-fencing, regenerative braking, and a smart remote control with an anti-theft alarm.

Conclusion

The introductory starting price of Rs 1.49 lakh has been made available to the first 5,000 customers only. As mentioned earlier, Joy e-bike will start rolling out the deliveries on March 2023. Currently, the Joy e-bike rivals the likes of Ola S1 Pro, Hero Vida V1, Greta Harper ZX, Komaki DT 3000, and TVS iQube.
