BMW C400 GT maxi-scooter teased ahead of its launch

After its competitors rushing on to the maxi-scooters bandwagon. The company has teased its version as well. BMW C400 GT was teased by the company on social media platforms. The maxi-scooter is likely to be released in India on the 12th of October,2021. The teaser gives us a glimpse of the bulky design and its premium features. The scooter is already available in the international market and we can expect few traits to follow here too.

The scooter has sharp looks with a big 120/70 tyre over 15-inch at the front and a 14-inch alloy fitted with a 150/70 tyre at the rear. Telescopic forks are used for the front suspension duties and dual shockers for the rear. This suspension setup provides good balance and ride handling. BMW C400 GT is a powerful machine and to stop it, the company has fitted the maxi-scooter with a pair of three 10.4-inch disc brakes. 2 in front and one at the rear. To improve safety BMW offers dual-channel ABS as standard.

BMW C400 GT has lots of features that come within the stock scooter like a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity, all-LED lighting, keyless access, a USB charging socket, stability control, and a stainless steel exhaust. BMW provides some options on offer as well, which include heated grips, a heated seat, and an anti-theft alarm. Though it’s not sure that all these features will be included in the Indian variant or not.

The new maxi scooter is powered by a 350cc, water-cooled, single-cylinder engine paired with a CVT unit. The same produces 34PS of peak power and a maximum power of 35Nm. The claimed speed of C400 GT is 86 mph, which converts to 138 kmph. The company has started the booking for the maxi scooter already here. 

It is anticipated that BMW will price this scooter upwards of Rs 6.5 lakh ex-showroom, India. For now, BMW C400 GT has no direct rivals and it will be an exciting launch by the company. BMW is also planning to give some cosmetic changes to their 310cc twins in the Indian market soon.
