The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is getting a facelift next month. The automaker will unveil the SUV on July 23. The current 2nd-gen version of the Brezza went on sale in 2022. Given that it is 4 years into its lifecycle, it was long overdue for a facelift. The updated version will get some cosmetic tweaks, feature additions, and even a new powertrain option.

2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift: Here’s what we know so far
The Brezza facelift test mules that have been spotted so far have had their front and rear sections covered in camouflage. The SUV’s front fascia will get a wider grille. It will likely be plated with chrome. The bumper will be reworked to exude a bolder look. The LED headlamps could get an update too.
The profile will remain identical to the current model, although Maruti may introduce a new alloy wheel design. At the back, the bumper design will be tweaked, and the updated LED tail lamps will be connected by a segmented light bar, similar to the one on the Maruti Suzuki Victoris.

Inside, the 2026 Brezza will retain the general layout for the dashboard and cabin. Maruti will spruce things up by adding premium trims and upholstery. We may even see a new colour scheme on the new model. When it comes to instrumentation, it will likely sport the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that’s found on the Victoris along with a fully digital instrument cluster. There will be wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity on board. Other features like front seat ventilation, powered driver’s seat, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and Level 2 ADAS are expected to make the cut.

The big change will come under the hood of the SUV. Maruti will add a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine to the powertrain lineup. This engine currently does duty on the Fronx SUV. It generates a maximum power output of 100hp and 147Nm of torque, and can be mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Since the displacement of this engine is below 1,200cc, it qualifies for the lower 18% GST.

The Brezza will also retain its current 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine pumps out 101hp and 136Nm. The high displacement of this engine pushes it into the 40% GST bracket. The CNG version of the Brezza is based on this engine. Recently, a CNG test mule of the SUV was spotted with an underbody fuel tank. The current Brezza CNG puts out 88hp and 121.5Nm, and offers a mileage of 25.51km/kg.

Final Thoughts
The current Brezza lineup is priced between Rs 8.25 lakh and Rs 13.01 lakh. Certain reports reveal that the stock of the current model is running low. Maruti will adjust the unfulfilled bookings by delivering the facelift model to the customers. Upon launch, it will rival the Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, Kia Syros, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Tata Nexon in India.
