The all-new Mini Countryman C has launched in India at Rs 47.50 lakh. It is locally assembled at BMW Group’s plant in Chennai. The SUV is available in an exclusive ‘Favoured Pack’. It sits below the JCW Countryman All4 in Mini India’s portfolio. The latter is imported to India as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU). As a result, it is pricier by Rs 18.65 lakh.

Mini Countryman C: What’s on offer?

The new Mini Countryman C is underpinned by the UKL2 platform. It stands at dimensions of 4,447mm x 1,843mm x 1,661mm and has a 2,692mm wheelbase. The SUV clears the ground at 190mm. It follows a minimal ‘Charismatic Simplicity’ design language, which is reflected in its compact octagonal front grille and edgy LED headlamps. There are 3 selectable signature modes for the LED DRLs. Along the sides, minimalist design is reflected in the clear surfaces, flush-sitting door handles, 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and the clearly defined shoulder area. At the back, the matrix LED tail lamps also get customisable signatures.

Inside, the Countryman C flaunts a 9.4-inch circular OLED display that carries out infotainment duties as well as incorporates vehicle functions like navigation, teleservices, in-car weather, and more. A Heads-Up Display (HUD) in the cockpit projects all the relevant information in the driver’s line of sight. Mini Operating System 9 handles the software duties. There is an Intelligent Personal Assistant (IPA) on board. You also get access to wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Other highlights on the feature list include a 12-speaker Harmon Kardon HiFi sound system, a fisheye camera for the cabin, powered front seats, a panoramic glass sunroof, wireless charging, and more. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The SUV can go from 0-100km/h in 9 seconds, with its top speed capped at 212km/h. Mini claims a mileage of 15.92km/l on the Countryman C.

The Countryman C is available in 5 colour options – Smokey Green, British Racing Green, Nanuq White, Slate Blue, and Chilli Red. Monthly instalments start at Rs 56,990 with zero down payment. The SUV rivals the Audi Q3, BMW X1, and Mercedes-Benz GLA in India.
