Honda has kept a tight lid on the powertrain of the India-spec ZR-V, but it is expected to be mechanically identical to its international-spec sibling. If that is the case, it will be powered by a 2.0-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine. On the international model, this engine generates a maximum power output of 180hp and 240Nm torque. It is mated to an e-CVT gearbox. The SUV can go from 0-100km/h in 8 seconds. Its top speed is capped at 172km/h.

Final Thoughts

The ZR-V is Honda Car India’s first CBU import after the CR-V. Due to the nature of its import route, it will demand a significant premium in India. We expect it to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh. Upon launch, it will rival the Skoda Kodiaq (Lounge) and Volkswagen Tiguan.
