Next-gen Hyundai Venue gets a Knight Edition

The 2nd-gen Hyundai Venue has received a new Knight Edition. It is available with the HX5, HX6T, HX8, and HX10 trims of the SUV. It demands a premium of Rs 15,000 on the trim that it is based on. The special edition was first introduced on the previous-generation Venue, back in 2022. It has sold over 92,000 units since then. The Knight Edition is known for its all-black look, outside and inside.

The Knight Edition blacks out key elements of the Hyundai Venue. These include the front radiator grille, Hyundai logo (front and rear), skid plates, roof rails, OVRMs, and alloy wheels. The brake callipers have received red accents. Additionally, the special edition SUV gets an exclusive Knight emblem. The automaker has also introduced 2 new paint shades for the SUV – Hazel Blue Matte and Mystic Sapphire Matte.

The all-black look has been carried over inside the Venue as well. The blacked-out cabin gets contrasting brass coloured inserts. The black upholstery gets brass stitching as well. Hyundai has also updated the HX6T, HX10 and N10 trims with a dashcam. These trims demand a premium between Rs 8,000 – Rs 24,000. Other features of the SUV include dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, a voice-enabled smart electric sunroof, 2-step reclining rear seats, rear AC vents, ambient lighting, connected car tech, and more.

The Knight Edition does not get any mechanical changes. The SUV continues to be offered in 3 engine options. The 1.2-litre petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 82hp and 114.7Nm torque. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 118hp and 172Nm. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT transmission with Idle Stop and Go (ISG). Lastly, the 1.5-litre diesel engine churns out 114hp and 250Nm. It can be paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
