TVS motors have been launching multiple new and updated products. Recently, the Jupiter 125 and the new Apache 310 were added to the arsenal. The company is rushing to take over the Indian two-wheeler market. Following the trend, company has updated its already gorgeous looking TVS Apache 160 4V with technological and cosmetic updates.
The naked streetfighter now has a sharper headlamp along with new LED DRLs. Just like its older sibling the company now offers three riding modes in Apache 160 4V as well, being Urban, Sports and Rain. There are a new set of radial tyres and an updated instrument cluster as well. TVS also launched its new special edition of the bike. The details are given below for the same.

The special edition comes with a new paint scheme of matt black colour complemented with red highlights all over the body. All matte black with red alloy and details, the bike looks even sportier. The top trim of the bike shares the same TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth instrument cluster just like its 200cc sibling.

The standard Apache RTR 160 4V is offered in Drum, Single Disc and Rear Disc variants, while on the other hand, the special edition comes with disk brakes only. The standard RTR 160 4V comes in three colour options: Racing Red, Metallic Blue, and Knight Black. The special edition also has red details over the seat making it distinct from the standard version.
TVS updated the engine and now it produces even more power, which was still the best in class previously. The 159.7cc, single-cylinder engine now produces 17.39 bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 14.73 Nm. The transmission duties are still done by the same 5-speed manual gearbox. There is no change in the suspension i.e. telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear.
Adding to TVS, the Special edition also offers GTT (Glide Through Traffic) for a smooth low-speed ride and avoiding the hiccups, a one-touch start and a wave bite ignition key.
The standard edition of the bike starts from Rs 1.15 lakhs ex-showroom for the base model. On the other hand, the special edition of Apache RTR 160 4V starts from Rs 1.21 lakh ex-showroom, India. The bike will compete directly with Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Hero Xtreme 160, Honda XBlade 160 and Yamaha MT15.
