Toyota Innova Crysta updated, launched at a starting price of Rs 19.72 lakh

The Toyota Innova Crysta has received an update. Prices for the 2026 model start at Rs 19.72 lakh and go up to Rs 26.63 lakh. It comes in 4 trim levels – GX, GX+, VX, and ZX. There are 7-seat and 8-seat layouts on offer. The new model gets minimal cosmetic tweaks along the exterior and interior. It also gets a couple of feature updates. No mechanical changes have been made to the MPV.

Cosmetic updates on the 2026 Toyota Innova Crysta include a reworked front grille and new garnishes on the front and rear bumpers. No other changes have been made along the exterior of the MPV. No changes have been made along the sides. Toyota continues to offer the Crysta in 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheel options. 

Inside, the updated Innova Crysta gets a new dual-tone leather seat upholstery. The trims along the doors, instrument panel, and steering wheel have been finished in ‘Grace Copper’. The AC controls, switches, and rear seat back table get new detailing as well. Toyota has also added a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and wireless charging to the MPV’s list of features to make it more competitive in its segment.

No changes have been made under the hood of the Toyota Innova Crysta. The MPV continues to be powered by a 2.4-litre diesel engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 148hp and 343Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. There is no option for an automatic transmission. The power generated is channelled to the rear wheels only, since there is no AWD configuration on offer. The MPV offers an ARAI-certified mileage of 15.6km/l.

Final Thoughts

Despite updating the Innova Crysta, Toyota plans to pull it from the Indian market next year due to upcoming CAFE 3 norms. The automaker will introduce a lower-spec version of the Innova Hycross to take its place. As things stand, the Innova Crysta rivals the Tata Safari, Kia Carnival, and Mahindra XUV700 in India.
