Buyers can reserve their model for a token amount of Rs 25,000.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: A closer look at the Interior

Recent spy shots of the Maruti Suzuki Invicto reveal the interior of the MPV for the first time. The MPV seems to be parked at a dealership, ahead of its debut. Invicto, while being based on Toyota Innova HyCross, gets a slightly different look for its interior. Unlike the dual-tone colour on the HyCross, the Invicto gets an all-black theme inside.

Like the HyCross, the Invicto also gets an electric sunroof. The entry-level variants may ditch this feature. The layout design has been retained on Maruti’s MPV as well. The dashboard gets some copper highlights. The 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system seems to be retained from the HyCross as well.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto will only be offered in a strong-hybrid engine configuration. This means that it will get the 2.0-litre four-cylinder, Atkinson cycle petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 181hp and 189Nm of torque. The electric motor paired with this petrol engine will be powered by a Nickel Metal Hydride battery. Both engines produce a combined torque of 206Nm. There are no manual transmission options for strong-hybrid variants, which means the Invicto will get an e-CVT gearbox.

It is also rumoured that the Invicto will not get the full ADAS package – if it gets one at all. Toyota’s ‘Safety Sense’ ADAS package consists of features like Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Automatic High Beam (AHB), and Road Sign Assist (RSB). The Invicto will also skip some premium features like the JBL sound system and the powered tailgate.

Conclusion

Maruti Suzuki Invicto will be the automaker’s most expensive offering in India. It is expected to be priced above Rs 20 lakh. Upon launch, the Invicto will rival the likes of Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and Toyota Innova HyCross.
