MG Cyberster: Here’s what we know so far

The MG Cyberster takes design inspiration from the iconic MG B Roadster of the 1960s. It stands at the dimensions of 4,533mm x 1,912mm x 1,328mm and has a 2,689mm wheelbase. The sportscar has swanky LED headlamps on either side of the closed-off grille. The split air-intake vents are placed on the lower bumper. The profile of the car showcases its aerodynamic K-tail silhouette and the retractable roof. The sportscar features scissor doors. These doors have dual sensors for safety. It rests on 19 and 20-inch wheels. At the back, a sleek LED strip runs along the width of the car. The 2 turn indicators are positioned right below this strip in the shape of arrows.

The MG Cyberster will be powered by two oil-cooled motors mounted on the front and rear axle. The electric sportscar will produce a maximum power output of 510hp and 725Nm of torque. MG Motor claims it can go from 0-100kmph in just 3.2 seconds. It can attain a top speed of 201kmph. The 77kWh battery pack offers a driving range of 444km on a full charge. The 50:50 front and rear weight distribution helps the high-speed stability of the sportscar. The Cyberster is equipped with a front double wishbone and a rear five-link independent suspension.

In international markets, the MG Cyberster is also offered in a single-motor configuration. This single electric motor produces a maximum power output of 335hp. It can go from 0-100kmph in 5 seconds. Its top speed has been capped at 194km. The single-motor variant of the sportscar has a 508km driving range.

Inside, the MG Cyberster will boast a wraparound 3-screen cockpit and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This infotainment system will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will also come with an 8-speaker Bose audio system.
