Mahindra Auto has added a new affordable automatic variant to the Scorpio N lineup. The Z4 variant of the Mahindra Scorpio N fetches Rs 17.39 lakh with a manual gearbox and Rs 17.86 lakh with a torque converter automatic gearbox. It serves as the entry-level automatic trim for the SUV and sits above the base Z2 trim.

The Z4 trim of the Mahindra Scorpio N is available in petrol and diesel engine options. The 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 203hp and 370Nm of torque. It can be linked to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 132hp and 300Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The Z4 trim comes with an RWD configuration. Buyers can opt for the AWD configuration in the Z4 (E) diesel variant.
The Mahindra Scorpio N Z4 comes in a seven-seat layout. It rests on 17-inch wheels with plastic covers. Inside, it has fabric upholstery for its seats. In terms of features, the SUV rocks an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, AC vents for the rear seats, steering-mounted controls, LED turn indicators, and more.
The higher variants of the Mahindra Scorpio N get premium features like Sony 3D immersive audio, 12-speakers with dual channel sub-woofer, leather-wrapped steering and gear lever, a rear parking camera, a push start button, passive keyless entry, built-in Alexa, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and more. In terms of safety features, the SUV gets 6 airbags, driver drowsiness detection, an advanced seat restraint system, a collapsible steering system, an anti-lock braking system, a Penta-link rear suspension, and more.

Prices for the Mahindra Scorpio N range start at Rs 13.99 lakh and go up to Rs 25.15 lakh for the top-spec variant. The SUV comes in 5 trim levels – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8 L. It rivals the likes of the Tata Safari, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos in India.
