Mahindra Scorpio N facelift spotted for the first time

The facelifted version of the Mahindra Scorpio N has been spotted testing for the first time in India. The SUV was launched back in June 2022 and gained instant success in India. Now that it has been in the market for 3 years, it is due for a mid-cycle refresh. The facelifted model will get some cosmetic tweaks and feature upgrades. It will remain mechanically unchanged.

Mahindra Scorpio N facelift: What do the spy shots suggest?

The Scorpio N spy shots that have surfaced so far reveal the rear end of the SUV. Since the test mule was wrapped in heavy camouflage, very few details can be made out. The dimensions and silhouette of the SUV look identical to the current model. The design of the tail lamps looks to be the same as well. More details are awaited on future, less camouflaged sightings. While the front fascia of the SUV was not visible on the recent crop of spy shots, we expect it to get some cosmetic tweaks. This will include design changes to the bumper, headlamps, and grille. Mahindra may update the design of the alloy wheels as well.

Inside, the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift could pack a larger touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Its Sony sound system could be replaced by a Harmon Kardon setup, similar to the XUV700 facelift. A panoramic sunroof is also expected to be in the works. Mahindra recently updated the SUV with a Level 2 ADAS package, adding features like Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Smart Pilot Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and more.

Other features of the SUV include 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a 12-speaker Sony audio system, a front camera, front parking sensors, a 6-way powered driver seat, Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), ventilated front seats, and an auto-dimming IRVM.

Things will remain the same under the hood of the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift. It will continue to be offered in 2 engine options. The 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 203hp and 370Nm of torque. It can be linked to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 132hp and 300Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the current Scorpio N lineup start at Rs 13.20 lakh and go up to Rs 24.17 lakh. We expect the facelifted model to cost a small premium. Its prices could start at Rs 13.90 lakh. We expect it to launch in early 2026. Upon launch, it will rival the Tata Safari, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos in India.
