Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has refreshed the Grand i10 Nios with a new ‘Vibe’ Edition. Prices for the special edition Hyundai Grand i10 Nios start at Rs 7.09 lakh and go up to Rs 8.03 lakh. It is available in Sportz and Sportz (O) trims. The Vibe Edition gets cosmetic updates and feature additions over the standard model of the hatchback. Additionally, the Asta trim has been updated with a dashcam.

The 15-inch alloy wheels of the Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition are finished in black. Its interior gets red inserts. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather. Other features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, smart key with push-button start, cruise control, projector headlamps, automatic air conditioning, and rear AC vents. On the safety front, the hatchback packs 6 airbags, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, and a dashcam.
Hyundai says that the Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition is the first car in its segment to come with a dashcam. This dashcam has 5 recording modes – driving recording, emergency & event recording, vacation recording, on-demand video, and photo capture.
Things remain the same under the hood, as the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios continues to be powered by the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine, which produces a maximum power output of 83hp and 113.8Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. In a CNG configuration, this engine puts out 69hp and 95Nm. The CNG variants are available with a 5-speed manual gearbox only.

Apart from the addition of the Vibe Edition, Hyundai has introduced a new ‘Titan Grey Matte’ paint shade for the Grand i10 Nios. The automaker could also facelift the hatchback this year, since it has completed its 3-year midlife cycle. Its biggest rivals on the market are the Tata Tiago, Maruti Suzuki Swift, and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
