Last week, Citroen launched the Basalt crossover in India at a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh. The automaker has now revealed the full price list for the SUV. Citroen Basalt is available in three trims – You, Plus, and Max. The top-spec Max trim is priced at Rs 13.62 lakh. The delivery rollout for the crossover will commence in the first week of September.

These introductory prices are valid till October 31. The dual-tone variant is only available with the Max trim and costs a premium of Rs 21,000.
Citroen Basalt is available in two engine options. The 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 110hp and 190Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox (where it produces 205Nm of torque). On the C3 Aircross SUV, this engine offers a mileage of 18.5 kmpl. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine puts out 82hp and 115Nm. This engine can only be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Inside, Citroen Basalt is packed with features like a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, cruise control, wireless charging, contoured headrests, and additional storage underneath the centre console. Safety features include six airbags, ESC, TPMS, and a rear parking camera. One of the big misses on this crossover is a sunroof.

Bookings for the Citroen Basalt are currently open for a token amount of Rs 11,001. The automaker has also started offering test drives for the crossover. There are five colour options on offer – Steel Grey, Polar White, Garnet Red, Cosmo Blue, and Platinum Grey. In India, the Basalt rivals the Tata Curvv ICE along with the existing midsize SUVs.
