Citroen Basalt X Comfort Edition: What’s on offer?

The Comfort Edition of the Citroen Basalt X gets a Comfort AXS pack, which brings premium features to the You and Plus trims. These include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a JBL sound system, a front and cabin dashcam with predictive safety alerts, a reverse parking camera, and wireless charging. The leatherette seating dons the Metropolitan Beige colour theme.

No changes have been made under the hood of the Citroen Basalt X. The midsize crossover continues to be offered in 2 engine options. The entry-level variants are powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that puts out 82hp and 115Nm. This engine can only be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine powers the top-spec trims. It generates a maximum power output of 110hp and 190Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox (where it produces 205Nm of torque). The You trim is available with the NA petrol engine, while the Plus trim also gets the option of the turbo-petrol engine.

Mr Kumar Priyesh, Business Head & Director, Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, said, “At Citroën, comfort has always been at the heart of everything we do. As we celebrate Citroën’s 108th anniversary globally, the introduction of the Basalt X Comfort Edition further reinforces our commitment to bringing comfort-led innovation to Indian customers. Following the encouraging response to the Aircross Comfort Edition, we are extending this philosophy to the Basalt, making premium comfort features more accessible across our portfolio. The Basalt X Comfort Edition combines premium factory-fitted interiors with thoughtfully curated Comfort AXS Packs that enhance convenience, technology and personalization—delivering greater value and an ownership experience that truly reflects Citroën’s Advanced Comfort® philosophy.”
