VinFast VF MPV 7: Everything you need to know
The VinFast VF MPV 7 is 4,740mm long, 1,872mm wide, 1,734mm tall, and has a 2,840mm wheelbase. Its design doesn’t stray too far from the two electric SUVs in VinFast’s portfolio. The front fascia flaunts a sleek LED light bar with a ‘V’ fracture in the middle to accommodate the VinFast logo. The dual-function DRLs are integrated with turn indicators. The LED headlamps are stacked vertically on the front bumper.
The boxy silhouette of the EV gives it an undeniable MPV look along the sides. It rests on 19-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels. VinFast says that the profile of this car follows the ‘golden ratio’ proportions of MPV design. At the back, the tail lamps are connected by an LED light bar, which follows the design language of its front counterpart. There are 6 paint shades on offer – Jet Black, Infinity Blanc, Moonlit Ocean, Zenith Grey, Solar Ruby, and Introspective Brown.
Inside, the VF MPV 7 flaunts a minimal, but premium design. Buyers can choose between an all-black or a dual-tone black and brown interior colour theme. The leatherette seat upholstery is complemented by leatherette inserts in doors and armrests. The tilt and telescopic D-cut steering wheel is wrapped in leatherette as well. The headrests on all seats are adjustable. The IVRM has a bezel-less design. There’s a large storage space under the front armrest and utility space under the centre console.
The electric MPV has 3 rows and can seat 7 people. The second row seats have a 60:40 split and are equipped with slide and recline functions and ISOFIX anchorages. The third-row seats have a recline function along with a 50:50 split. With all seats standing, the VF MPV 7 has a boot space capacity of 126 litres. When the third-row seats are collapsed, this capacity expands to 1,240 litres.
The dashboard houses a free-standing 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. This display also functions as the digital instrument cluster. There is no screen behind the steering wheel. Other features of the MPV include an automatic HVAC with a PM2.5 air filter, dedicated AC controls for the third row, keyless entry, wireless charging, and more.
On the safety front, the VinFast VF MPV 7 packs 4 airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Roll Over Mitigation (ROM), a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and more.
The front-mounted single electric motor powering this MPV generates a maximum power output of 201hp and 280Nm of torque. It can go from 0-100km/h in less than 9 seconds, with the top speed capped at 140km/h. There are 3 drive modes on offer – Eco, Normal, and Sport. The 60.13kWh battery pack offers an ARAI-certified driving range of 517km. It can be charged from 10 to 70% in 30 minutes. There’s support for 80W DC charging on board.
Mr Tapan Ghosh, CEO of VinFast India, said, “The all-new VF MPV 7 is VinFast’s third product for India, and is most suited for customers with large families. It is designed to offer generous space for every member of the family, comfort that makes even the longest journeys feel effortless, and intelligent features that elevate every single drive. With the VF MPV 7, we are entering a new segment, but more importantly, we are expanding our commitment to India.”
