Tata Nexon EV’s LR variant with 40.5kWh battery discontinued

Tata Motors has pulled the 40.5kWh battery pack from the Nexon EV lineup. Tata Nexon EV is now available in 2 battery pack options – 30kWh and 45kWh. The latter was added to the electric SUV’s lineup in September 2024. The Nexon EV is now available in 10 variants across 8 trim levels. Prices for the SUV start at Rs 12.49 lakh.

The 45kWh battery pack available with the LR variants offers a driving range of 489km. This is 24km more than the now-discontinued 40.5kWh battery pack. The C75 real-word range of the LR variants is between 350 to 375 km. These variants offer a faster charging speed at 1.2C rating. They generate a maximum power output of 145hp and 215Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, the 30kWh battery variants of the Tata Nexon EV offer a 325km driving range. The MR variants generate a maximum power output of 129hp and 215Nm of torque.

The Tata Nexon EV shared its interior layout and instrumentation with its ICE sibling. It flaunts a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The two-spoke illuminated steering wheel adds to the aesthetic value of the electric SUV. Other features include connected car tech, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, voice-assisted sunroof, touch controls for the HVAC, and more.

Conclusion

Prices for the Tata Nexon EV start at Rs 12.49 lakh and go up to Rs 17.19 lakh. Within this price bracket, the electric SUV rivals the Mahindra XUV400, MG Windsor EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara in India.
