Tata Curvv Dark Edition launched at Rs 16.49 lakh

Tata Motors has added a new Dark Edition to the Curvv crossover lineup. Prices for the Tata Curvv Dark Edition start at Rs 16.49 lakh and go up to Rs 19.52 lakh. The Dark Edition models are based on the Accomplished S and Accomplished+ A variants of the crossover. They demand a premium between Rs 30,000 and Rs 32,000 over their corresponding variant. The Dark Edition is available in petrol and diesel powertrains.

Like other Dark models in Tata’s portfolio, the Curvv Dark Edition gets the all-black treatment. It comes in a Carbon Black paint shade, and its bumpers, grille, and alloy wheels are blacked out. The wheel arches are covered in gloss black cladding. Apart from the all-black colour theme, no other cosmetic changes have been made to the crossover. It retains its sleek LED DRLs at the front and LED light bar at the back.

The all-black theme continues inside the Tata Curvv Dark Edition as well. The leatherette upholstery, dashboard, centre console, and roof liner are blacked out. The crossover features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, Alexa connectivity, a JBL sound system, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, reclining rear seats, and more. There’s a Level 2 ADAS package onboard as well.

The Tata Curvv Dark Edition is available in 2 powertrain options. The 1.2-litre ‘Hyperion’ engine generates a maximum power output of 125hp and 225Nm torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre ‘Kryojet’ diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 118hp and 260Nm of torque. Both engines can be linked to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The regular Curvv is also available with a 120hp and 170Nm producing 1.2-litre three-cylinder ‘Revotron’ petrol engine.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the regular Tata Curvv lineup start at Rs 10 lakh and go up to Rs 19.52 lakh. The Curvv EV is available in a Dark avatar too. The crossover primarily rivals Citroen Basalt in India but also faces competition from midsize SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Kia Seltos, and more.
