Skoda Kushaq and Slavia get a 10-inch infotainment system

Back in May, Skoda India removed the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system from mid and top-spec variants of the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia. This was largely credited to the semiconductor shortage. Now, the 10-inch infotainment unit has made a return to the Style variants of the two Skoda offerings. This change is yet to be made on the mid-spec Ambition variants of the two cars, which are still being offered with an 8-inch infotainment system.

Skoda Kushaq and Slavia: Return of the 10-inch infotainment unit

The 10-inch infotainment system on Skoda Kushaq and Slavia comes with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Style variants also get a sub-woofer for the music system. The new touchscreen system runs the latest OS and UI. Since it is a full touchscreen display, it does not get a physical volume control knob. The shortcut controls on the bezel are also absent from this unit.

The Skoda Kushaq lineup recently got a new Matte Edition as well. This special edition gets a matte finish on the Carbon Steel paint. The door handles, OVRMs, and rear spoiler get a contrasting gloss finish. No changes have been made to the chrome finish on the grille. The trunk garnish and window lining remain unchanged too.

Skoda Kushaq and Slavia are available in 2 powertrain options. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power of 115hp and 175Nm peak torque. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 150hp and 250Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
