Renault updates its India lineup, new cars incoming

Renault has updated its three offerings in India – Kwid, Triber, and Kiger. As a part of its ‘Renaulution’ programme, the automaker plans on launching 5 cars in the next 3 years. These 5 products include the next-generation models of Kiger and Triber. Recently, the brand announced an investment of €3 billion in four of its key international hubs outside Europe, including India. Committing itself to the ‘Make in India’ vision, the French automaker carries out the manufacturing process in its Chennai plant.

Renault India: Updated portfolio and the road ahead

The 2024 Renault Kwid hatchback features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the RXL(O) trim along with the option of a 5-speed AMT gearbox. This makes it the most affordable automatic car in the country. The hatchback also gets 14 safety features as standard. It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 68hp. The Climber variant of the Kwid now comes in 3 new dual-tone colour options. Check out its new prices below.

The new Renault Triber gets a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless charging, a rearview camera, a rear wiper, AC vents for the 2nd and 3rd row, an air filter, a driver seat armrest and ORVMs. On top of that it gets 15 safety features as standard. Powering the Triber is a 1.0-litre petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 72hp. Check out its revised prices below.

Finally, the 2024 Renault Kiger gets new leatherette seats and steering wheel along with auto-fold OVRMs, and a bezel-less auto-dim IVRM. Other new features include red brake callipers (for the Turbo variants), auto AC, LED cabin lamps, cruise control, rear seatbelt reminder, and more than 15 safety features as standard. Conclusion

Renault is also offering 2 years standard warranty and 7 years extended warranty across its new 2024 range. The Duster SUV was unveiled in Europe under the Dacia banner last year. It is expected to arrive in India in 2025. An all-electric Kwid will also be a part of Renault’s 5 upcoming launches. Upon its launch, the Kwid EV will directly rival the Tata Tiago EV.
