Porsche 911 Carrera S facelift: What’s on offer?

The 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder boxer engine on the Porsche 911 Carrera S now produces a maximum power output of 480hp and 530Nm of torque. This engine is linked to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Its predecessor produced 450hp and 500Nm. The new turbochargers on the engine extensively optimise the charge-air cooling and elevate its performance. The 911 Carrera S can accelerate from 0 – 100kmph in just 3.3 seconds. It has a top speed of 308kmph.

The Porsche 911 Carrera S facelift gets new 20/21 wheels, a sports exhaust system with silver tailpipes, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+). The front and rear disc brakes measure 408mm and 380mm respectively. This braking system is also present on the 911 GTS. Buyers can also request the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system and the PASM sports suspension. The facelifted coupe exudes a bolder look compared to the outgoing version.

Inside, the Porsche 911 Carrera S retains its layout from the outgoing model. The interior look of all the cars in the 911 lineup is very similar. However, the 911 Carrera S comes with a leather package in black as standard. The seats, headrests, dashboard, door panels, and rear seat system are trimmed with a smooth leather finish. This distinguishes it from the 911 Carrera. Buyers can also opt for a leather finish on the glove box lid, side panels, and seat base, with contrast stitching in Crayon. Other features of the coupe include Matrix LED headlamps, smartphone connectivity through the Porsche Track Precision app, and wireless charging.
